Forward was founded in January 2016 by former executives and engineering leaders from Google and Uber.   • Build Forward’s core legal processes as well as lay the groundwork for building and scaling Forward's legal org
  • Help shape the regulatory landscape for the future of healthcare
  • Define Forward’s legal strategy
  • Advise business and product teams on current and future products, new business lines, M&A, domestic and international expansion
  • Advise on compliance, employment and contract matters
  • Manage outside counsel relationships on legal matters pertaining to corporate law, healthcare compliance, litigation, securities, and M&A

  • Practicing attorney with 15+ years of experience in California in a law firm and/or in-house legal department
  • Experience with labor law, securities law, and litigation
  • Flexibility, willingness to work on a broad variety of legal matters
  • High integrity, well-organized, and able to manage numerous projects simultaneously
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • JD and California bar member


  • In-house counsel experience
  • Tech start-up experience
