Senior Corporate Counsel – Technology Company
San Jose

Arm of Global-based Technology Company responsible for sales and marketing of semiconductors seeks Senior Corporate Counsel who has both litigation and commercial transactional experience.

Description of the Position:

• Report to well-respected General Counsel; work closely with small legal team.
• Commercial litigation and commercial agreement responsibility.
• Provide various corporate and commercial legal services to numerous internal clients.
• Enjoy a sophisticated environment and challenging work load.
• Provide legal support for sales and marketing business units.

Responsibilities Include:

• Significant responsibility handling broad based commercial litigation including but not limited to antitrust to employment matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts such as marketing, OEM, sales, distribution, and purchase agreements.
• Work with internal clients, outside counsel, and other members of the Legal Department on various transactional and counseling matters.
• Handle real estate, transactional, employment, and other general corporate matters.
• Manage outside counsel on contractual and litigation matters

Requirements:

• J.D. from accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
• Admission to the State Bar of California.
• 10 years of legal experience. Strong preference for significant litigation experience at a leading law firm and/or in-house at a technology company. Additional experience required in commercial contracts.
• Trial Experience (at least one jury trial preferred) • Outstanding negotiation, drafting, and writing skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Able to work independently, as a team player, and as a trusted business partner with internal clients.

Compensation: Base compensation commensurate with experience and in-house legal market.
