Forty attorney legal team seeks experienced commercial attorney (7-15 year) for company’s solar business group.

Responsibilities:

• Negotiating, drafting, and advising on sophisticated and complex sales agreements and other commercial matters in support of global customer base.
• Working closely with sales, business management, finance and other company departments on deal structures and negotiation strategies. Leading cross-function deal teams on complex transactions.
• Providing legal and strategic counseling to sales professionals and management.
• Training sales professionals on legal issues and sales and contracting issues.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 7 years experience in top-tier law firm or in-house legal department of large corporation.
• Extensive experience in drafting and negotiating sales contracts and other commercial agreements. Understanding of patent, trade secret and copyright issues desirable.
• Excellent business judgment and superior interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams, take leadership role in driving solutions, and work under pressure to meet short deadlines.
• Periodic overseas travel will be required.
• Interest in the solar and technology industries a plus.
• J.D. or L.L.B from accredited and recognized law school.
• Member of California State Bar.
