Patent & Commercial Litigation Attorney – South Bay

Our client, a global leader in computer storage systems, seeks a patent and commercial litigation attorney to join its collegial and dynamic legal department.

Responsibilities:

Working closely with the IP transactional team, you will be primarily responsible for directing and managing the intellectual property and commercial litigation of the company. You will also handle the analysis of patent validity and infringement claims made against the company, develop case strategy and budgeting, coordinate discovery, review pleadings, motions and expert reports. Other responsibilities include participating in trials, hearings and depositions, and negotiating settlements and related agreements.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of relevant legal experience, including significant patent litigation experience and a broader interest in managing general litigation.

• J.D. degree from an ABA law school.

• Admission and member in good standing of the California state bar.

• Strong academics, large law firm and in-house experience.

• Ability to function as a team player, collaborating with colleagues, clients, and business leaders to further the company's strategic objectives.

• Ability to work independently, multi-task and prioritize work flow based upon the company's commercial priorities and strategic goals.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
