Director of Licensing – Software Company
Mid-Peninsula
Our client, a provider of solutions for
internet and mobile communications, is currently seeking a
Director of Licensing to join its fast-paced company. In this
position, the Director of Licensing will be responsible to
prepare, negotiate and manage complex contracts for the company.
Position entails working in a fast-paced team environment with a
heavy workload.
Responsibilities:
• Draft, negotiate, structure, and manage
contractual documents for all the company’s business units that
establish business relationships with vendors, customers and/or
other partners.
• Review and approve documents that adhere
to and comply with the company’s corporate policies.
• Advise operational departments on legal
issues for various business initiatives.
• Be able to quickly guide sales proposals
through process and identify and mitigate risk issues in achievement
of strategic business goals.
• Provide advice and assistance to
management and others as needed.
Requirements:
• 8-15 years of contracts management
experience in the technology industry (telecommunication/software
preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or
a related field. MBA or related graduate degree desirable. JD is a
plus.
• Specific and technical knowledge of
contract types, methods and procedures and basic principles of
contract law.
• Focused software and hardware
subscription and/or licensing.
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and
work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent interpersonal and
organizational skills.
• Must be result-oriented with a high level
of integrity and honesty.
• Must be able to regularly exercise
independent discretion and judgment within defined policies.
